Mount carmel higher secondery school for girls was founded in the year 1934 by the CSST sisters. It is functioning under the Corporate Education Agency of Vijayapuram Diocese. The school was started with 3 teachers and fifteen students and was upgraded to high school in the year 1945.As we are in the 88th year of its successful journey , we are proud to say Mount Carmel has a great story of success , efficiency ,achievement and valuable contribution in the field of Education focusing on the intellectual, cultural, physical ,moral ,social and environmental formation to the young minds specially to the girl children and women not only in Kottayam or Kerala but all over the world and here we present the report of the activities for the academic year 2021-22.

We are proud to say Mount Carmel has a great story of success, efficiency, achievement and valuable contribution in the field of Education focusing on the intellectual, cultural, physical, moral, spiritual, social and environmental formation to the young minds especially to the girl children.
With its achievements in academic and Co-Curricular activities it stands 1st among the Aided schools in Kottayam District .A student gets an opportunity to develop her talents and potentials to the maximum at this institution.
We provide academic training by the excellent teachers using modern technologies. Along with the academic activities,we extent Basket ball, Volleyball, shuttle Badminton, Throw ball, Net ball, Tough of war and Training in all athletic items by expert physical education teachers.We have the NCC, SPC, Units of GUIDES, REDCROSS, LITTLE KITES and all subject wise clubs actively participating in all educational programmes.
Smart classrooms, A well established library, Multimedia room, Computer labs, auditorium, 2 basket ball grounds ,sufficient toilet facilities ,girl friendly toilets etc make our infrastructure conducive for the all round development of the children.
We also provide training for Yoga, karate, dance, music, tailoring, chess, instrumental music, agriculture, cookery, drawing, paper craft and Communicative English.With the help of God Almighty, Today this esteemed Institution is synonymous with excellence, quality education and all round development young generation.
